Wassail Days in Frisco Colorado December 8-16, 2012

Celebrate Wassail Days in Frisco Colorado on Main Street of the Rockies December 8-16, 2012.  Wassail Days is Frisco’s way of enjoying the holiday season with a week long celebration.  The term Wassail comes from the Old English phrase “waes hael” meaning “be healthy”.  The term also refers to a drink of mulled cider, people would drink Waes Hail and salute to a good apple harvest for the next year.  If you attend Wassail Days in Frisco Colorado make sure you purchase your commemorative mug and have a drink of hot cider.

Saturday, December 8, 2012 —
2nd Annual Santa Dash for Cash — Dressed in your best Santa costume meet at the Frisco Historic Park for the 7 block costume run with a milk and cookie station along the way.  Adults cost is $25 for participation, t-shirt, santa hat, 1/2 off tubing at the Frisco Adventure Park and the chance to get a stocking with $100.  Children 12 and under and pets are free.

Tree Lighting Ceremony — At 4pm at the gazebo in the Frisco Historic Park the mayor will light the tree.

Best in the West Chili Cook Off — At the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge from 5-7pm you can taste some of the best chili of the west for $20.  With over 20 entries last to win the prize money, you are sure to taste some outstanding chili.

Tuesday, December 11, 2012 —
Santa’s Calling — Do you have a little one that would love a phone call from Santa?  Stop by the Frisco Visitor Center, Stork & Bear Toy Store, Frisco Town Hall or the Historic Park to provide you child’s name and correct phone number so Santa can make his call at 6pm!

Wednesday, December 12, 2012 —
Victorian Wassail Night — 
Enjoy caroling, hot chocolate, a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, and cookies from 4-7pm at the Frisco Historic Park & Museum.

Thursday, December 13, 2012 —
Free Tubing From 10am – 1:30pm enjoy free tubing at the Frisco Adventure Park, call for reservations, 970.668.2558.

Free Nordic Skiing — At the Frisco Nordic Center enjoy free nordic skiing from 8am – 4pm.

Saturday, December 15, 2012 —
Breakfast with Santa — Copper Mountain brings you and your little ones Breakfast with Santa at the Backcountry Brewery in Frisco from 8:30-11am.  Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, call for reservations 970.668.5508, ext. 1.

Visit with Santa — At the Frisco Historic Park visit with Santa from 12-2pm.  Followed by caroling down main street.

Lil’ Rascals Rail Jam — The rail jam is for those 9 years old and younger.  After the rail jam enjoy fireworks at the tubing hill.
