6 Month Comparison 2007 – 2012

The Summit County Real Estate Market is continually showing signs of improvement.  Looking at the Summit County real estate market for the first 6 months of 2012 and comparing it against every year since 2007, it appears sales are on the rise.  With a 17%  increase in sales in the first 6 months of 2012 over 2011 and a 77% increase in sales over our slowest year 2009, the Summit County CO Real Estate market is on the rebound.

If you have been considering purchasing a property in Summit County Colorado but haven’t yet, you haven’t yet missed your opportunity as prices are still low.  Comparing the first 6 months of 2012 against 2011 the prices are down 6.5%.  With Summit County Real Estate not feeling the effects of the economy until October 2008, the first 6 months of 2008 produced an average sold price per square foot of $390.  The current average sold price per square foot is $290 which is 34.5% below 2008.
